tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-73713521126246893532011-04-21T13:43:47.690-07:00bluewillowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04035889101892759421noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371352112624689353.post-8445943092265072092008-12-02T23:05:00.000-08:002008-12-02T23:31:19.201-08:00Why Lead Addiction, well I started this blog to let the casual reader and fellow wargamers look into my addiction I have had for 30 odd years.<br /><br />It all started it when I was ten years old, my Mother bought me some 28mm French Napoleonic mini-figs for my birthday, I started painting these guys and have been addicted to lead and wargaming ever since, since then I have easily painted 6 to 8 thousand figs from 6mm to 28mm. <br />I currently have too many armies and periods primarily 28mm and 20mm, I originally thought about having several different blogs for my different armies that are painted, but I stopped after three, Australian Napoleonic Congress, Fine and Dandy and Bonnie Blue Flag, this blog will concentrate on my other periods, primarily ancients, colonial, ww1, ww2 and even some Sci-fi.<br /><br />Staying Focused on period is tough for me and I suspect most other wargamers with such a grand array of beautiful figure ranges out there, although I tend to suffer from painters block if I don’t have something to concentrate on.<br /><br />My fellow club members and myself from the Goulburn Wargames Club tend to find something that is flavour of the month and stick too it for at least a year than move on. As I can paint to a reasonable standard in a short amount of time (if focused) I tend to have a army finished first, sometimes a full year ahead of some of the guys.<br /><br />We play a lot of 28mm WAB and Napoleonic’s, with ACW coming a close third, other horse and musket and ww2 gets a regular run also.<br /><br />Next year I have a number of projects in the pipeline, not necessarily in this order<br /><ul><li>28mm WAB Germanics</li><li>28mm Wab Greeks</li><li> 28mm WAB Barons Wars </li><li>28mm Sassanid’s</li><li>20mm WW2 late war Germans</li></ul><p><br />I also plan to finish off and complete a number of projects that I failed to finish this year.</p><p><br />Cheers for now and happy painting<br />Matt<br /><br /><br /> </p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7371352112624689353-844594309226507209?l=bluewillows-leadaddiction.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>bluewillowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04035889101892759421noreply@blogger.com0
